How I had a VIRTUAL 16th BIRTHDAY PARTY! (feat. Joonas Suotamo AKA Chewbacca himself!!!)

Hello, everyone, this is Arca. It's been a while, but yesterday I celebrated my 16th birthday! Obviously I wasn't able to go see a movie with my friends after going to a restaurant for dinner as I usually do, but I devised a fun way to make up for it with Discord. Discord has both text chat, audio and video features, and features a way to stream one's screen to multiple people at once... so in other words, it was perfect for a virtual movie-watching party! If you said that no new Star Wars movie was releasing this year, well, luckily, you'd be incorrect. The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special was a short 45-minute movie on Disney+ that released last month, but I held off on watching the pseudo-time travel/Christmas movie parody until my birthday party!  So, to start from the beginning of the day, I woke up, ate some pancakes, and then was greeted with a surprise! I had gotten a birthday wish from the person who plays my favorite Star Wars (and possibly fiction in general) c...

Is "Star Wars: Squadrons" (formerly Project Maverick) Going to be a Step in the Right Direction for EA?

Image Credit: EA Motive via Engadget Hey, everyone. This is Arca, and today I will be discussing the announcement, as well as the gameplay reveal, for the new EA Star Wars game coming October 2 of this year, titled Star Wars: Squadrons . It will have both multiplayer modes, a singleplayer campaign, and VR-support on PS4's PSVR (which is great, especially for PSVR owners like me who'd like to be able to fulfill the dream of jumping into an X-Wing's pilot cockpit), as well as PC VR, and will launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It will be a starship combat game with crossplay multiplayer across all platforms, which is great. The game was leaked on the PlayStation store, as I talked about all the way back in March ( http://www.arcabaran.com/2020/03/star-wars-project-maverick-ea-leaked.html ), as "Project Maverick". I watched the initial reveal trailer premiere live on YouTube, and didn't see the gameplay reveal live but watched it a few hours after it premiered (al...

The Clone Wars SERIES FINALE Review- "Victory and Death" S7 E12 (Spoiler-Free)

Image Credit: Disney/Lucasfilm Hello guys, this is Arca, and this post is quite unique. First of all, it is the first post ever that I wrote and published using Blogger's brand new editor interface for 2020, finally done by Google to make it look more like the rest of its current products and not like something out of 1999 (which it technically is, but at least now the visual aesthetic has evolved past 2013). It will take me a bit of getting used to it in order to know the parts of the editing interface by memory, but I do think that it is a good improvement. I might review this update in a separate post, possibly as soon as tomorrow, since I now decided that since school is becoming much more tame and with only 13 school days to go before summer, I might as well start a daily post schedule again and try my best to keep at it for the entirety of my quarantined summer.  This post is not only the first post of my daily summer 2020 posts, and also the first one I ever made in Blogger...

MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU! + Me Playing John Williams music on the Otamatone! (Happy Star Wars Day 2020!)

Image Source Today is one of the best days of the year, in my opinion. What started out as a joke several decades ago based on clever wordplay of the day May 4th and the iconic phrase "May the Force Be With You" is now still getting fans worldwide to come together to celebrate the galaxy far, far away! Regardless of what aspect of Star Wars you grew up with or love the most, today also has lots of ways to celebrate. The first, and best way would be to watch the series finale(!) of The Clone Wars , which released today instead of on a Friday as usual. I haven't watched that yet, but will soon. Another way would be to watch a brand new Disney+ docuseries about the making of The Mandalorian , which also had its first episode released today for while we tide for its Season 2 to be released this October. Yet another, another way would be to rewatch (or maybe watch for the first time) Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker , since it hit Disney+ today. Either to watch it...

"Shattered" (EXECUTE ORDER 66.)- Episode Review - Star Wars: The Clone Wars S7 E11 (spoiler-free)

Image Credit: Disney/Lucasfilm UPDATE:  This is Arca on 6/8/2020. I noticed a few days ago that the views for this post on my Blogger dashboard had literally reached 66. This post is reviewing an episode that is literally focused on Order 66. That's a perfect coincidence. I attached a screenshot below, as well, as proof: Now, onto the original contents of this post... I was not prepared for this. And neither were you. Or anybody else, really. Execute Order 66 . Omenous, thrilling music. A deep punch in the gut. And goosebumps even in the moments of relative silence as slowly, bit by bit, the entire galaxy went to hell and we saw it through a pair of eyes that hurt the viewer emotionally much more than I expected. Hello, this is Arca, and today I will be reviewing the second-to-last episode ever of the entirety of The Clone Wars , which is Season 7 Episode 11, titled "Shattered", which released on May 1st , or yesterday (which was a Friday). Whew, that was a long ...

Star Wars: The Clone Wars- Season 7 Episode 10 "The Phantom Apprentice" Review (spoiler-free)

Image Credit: Disney/Lucasfilm; via Star Wars News Net The third-to-last episode of The Clone Wars , ever, released yesterday. I watched it, and today I will be doing a review of it. Titled "The Phantom Apprentice", it is the second part out of four episodes of the final arc about the Siege of Mandalore that actually take place overlapping the events of the film Episode III: Revenge of the Sith . As a recap of the previous episode, which was titled "Old Friends Not Forgotten" (spoilers for the episode that is before the one I'm reviewing, by the way, by the way), Anakin and Obi-Wan had to go run off to save the Emperor---I mean, *cough cough* Chancellor-- from his Sith co-conspirator--- I mean, Separatist captor---Count Dooku. This, as we know, happens during the movie Revenge of the Sith , and that particular moment ends with someone being decapitated and a particular Chosen One getting even closer to falling to the Dark Side. Meanwhile, what were belove...

Star Wars: The Clone Wars- Season 7 Episode 9 "Old Friends Not Forgotten" Review (spoiler-free)

Image Credit: Disney/Lucasfilm (Okay, so this is where it gets really good.) Hey guys, this is Arca, and today I will be reviewing the first episode of the final arc in the entire series of  The Clone Wars , or Season 7 Episode 9, entitled "Old Friends Not Forgotten". Based on that title, you guessed it, Ahsoka and Anakin finale meet back up as we saw in the surprise reveal trailer for Season 7 (which we were told was cancelled) two years ago. For the first time in this entire season (and possibly the series, but I haven't watched every single episode so I can't be sure), the creators of the show decided to treat an arc like a cinematic film. This is proven by the interesting opening (you'll see it for yourself), as well as the grand themes and events that it covers. No more "small world" stuff. This episode takes place directly during the events of the freaking film  Revenge of the Sith ! If that's "filler" to you, then I don...

Star Wars: The Clone Wars- Season 7 Episode 8 "Together Again" Review (spoiler-free)

Image Credit: Lucasfilm/Disney Hey guys, this is Arca, and today I will be reviewing the new episode of The Clone Wars that released this morning, titled "Together Again". My spring break started today for me, so I won't have virtual schoolwork to do for a while and will be free (while still in-quarantine). In an alternate universe, I would have been on a cruise around China and other Asian countries with my cousins right now. In another alternate universe, I would be doing that exact trip alone, without  my cousins. In yet another universe, we would have flown to and arrived in Madrid, instead, today. But alas, the universe I'm in is the one where I'm stuck indoors all spring break but get to watch new Clone Wars final season episodes the morning of their day of release! So I'm going to continue reviewing this entire season, episode-by-episode (or, if I miss a week, I might do multiple episodes or an arc at a time), until it's finished! We only have ...

Star Wars: The Clone Wars- Season 7 Episode 7 "Dangerous Debt" Review (spoiler-free)

Image credit: Lucasfilm/Disney via /FILM Hello, this is Arca. I hope you are all safe and healthy and well. I will be reviewing Episode 6, titled "Dangerous Debt", of the final season of The Clone Wars , which released yesterday. This episode continues after (spoiler alert for the previous episode), Ahsoka and the Martez sisters' attempt to complete a job to bring spice to the Pyke crime syndicate from the planet of Kessel (complete with the same aliens from Solo: A Star Wars Story !) completely fails and they are thrown into captivity and forced to answer to a crime boss. Obviously, they will try everything they can to escape and get themselves out of their mess, and a bit of character development will happen along the way. So, what did I think of it? I think it was almost identical in quality to the previous episode, mostly. There are still real moments of suspense and intrigue, and the backstory of the Martez sisters actually becomes quite a bit more interesti...

Star Wars: The Clone Wars- Season 7 Episode 6 "Deal No Deal" Review (spoiler-free)

Image Credit: Lucasfilm/Disney Hey guys, if you came here for the review only, feel skip the next three paragraphs where I talk about my life and stuff before clicking out and calling this clickbait. Ok? Thanks! This is Arca, and welcome back to the very last ever March Edublog I will ever make on a Friday. Also the very last "schoolwork" one that I will make that will be reviewing a new Clone Wars  episode. Today I still had to do work while simultaneously propping my foot up on a chair because if you didn't read about it in yesterday's post as to how it happened ( http://www.arcabaran.com/2020/03/i-thought-i-broke-my-toe-my-reaction-to.html ), I recently accidentally broke or fractured my toe. Last night I found out for certain that this was the case when we videocalled a teledoctor (the only way to see a real doctor in the midst of this quarantine stuff) and they looked at my toe's purpleness and confirmed it. Unfortunately, I won't be able to see an...

Star Wars: The Clone Wars- Season 7 Episode 5 "Gone With a Trace" Review (spoiler-free)

Image Credit: Disney/Lucasfilm This whole quarantine business allowed my school (and homework) to end around near only 1 PM (my school ended at 12:30 PM, and my left-over work was insignificant to not even take me past 1 PM including eating lunch). This is definitely better than regular school, and if you disagree, you're lying. Just kidding. People can have varying opinions, but some "opinions" are closer to the truth for some people more than others. Some may vastly prefer regular school and its face-to-face interaction (even though I think that Hangouts chats and video calls are plenty and still make me feel as if my classmates are right here... and then again, my best friends are now either are in other classes or in schools elsewhere in New Jersey), but I don't. That is since, as different people who have had different life experiences, and gotten different things out of each of those experiences, which shapes their "opinions", which sorry Achi...
